We’re Not Just A Team

We’re A Family

Our History

Southwestern Sales (SWS) began in 1946 when George Frye purchased lime for his farms. By 1964, SWS expanded to Windsor, Sarnia in 1966, and Parry Sound by 1974. George’s children—Bing, Cameron, Cheryl, Donald, and Jack—joined the business, contributing to its growth.

Founded under Canadian Dolomite in 1954, SWS has become a leading supplier of waterborne aggregates in Southwestern Ontario. Longstanding partnerships with shipping companies, quarries, and port operators have been key to our success.

Since the 1990s, SWS has grown by upgrading capabilities and adapting to industry changes. Our expertise in waterfront operations drives positive economic impacts and ensures exceptional service. As a family-owned business, SWS has shaped Southwestern Ontario’s infrastructure and economy for decades.

With a focus on excellence, we remain a trusted name in aggregate supply.
